#82 The Louds

I received this beautiful entry from my friend Mary, a dynamic and engaging woman.  She certainly captures the essence of what families are all about and I can almost hear them laughing from here.  I know her mother is smiling with her angel wings in place as she listens to the rising decibels of her loving family.  Thanks for a glimpse into the "Louds" family and may you never resort to whispering.

"In family life, love is the oil that eases friction, the cement that binds closer together, and the music that brings harmony." Friedrich Nietzche

In a family of 7 children there is a lot of scrapping, rivalry, and noise.  When you add in the "out-laws" (our loving term for in-laws), nieces and nephews we number 26. The "out-laws" lovingly call the 7 of us the LOUDS, a very fitting name.  We can all talk at the same time, hear what everybody else is saying, and finish each other's sentences.
All of this raucous behavior can happen while playing a game, watching a game, singing while gather around the piano, or gathered around the table. Talent?, no just the reality of growing up in a big family.  Would we trade it, not a chance.  It has been the blessing for many a fun family gathering.  Nothing like family for laughing and loudness. Beware the decibel level!
