#313 Mt. Rainier-An English Sonnet

Mount Rainier National Park (U.S. National Park Service)

Mt. Rainier-An English Sonnet

Taunting, teasing, colors blending greatly
Mounting grass with charming bold expressions
Standing, blending flowers are most stately
Morning glories boast in crowded sessions

Water trickles gathering loose earth
Traveling at a slow speed from tall peak
Birds sing gaily and gather for their mirth
Gloating for the harmony that they keep

Nature shows off all its pride and glories
Whispers heard from soaring green pines bending
Sharing ancient secrets and grand stories
Past and present secretly start blending

Glorious in your entire splendor
Mountain, I submit my grand surrender!
