#447 Not Really a Goodbye

See ya!

After considerable thought I have decided this new year to cut back on a number of things in my life.

Calories --first on the list after this wonderful mouth stuffing--can't get enough-- December food. My clothes and the scale will appreciate the sacrifice.

Worrying--doesn't make a difference if I do it or not so save myself the headache and for Pete's sake, Stop!

Procrastinating--I'll do it tomorrow is done.  Get going on it NOW!

There are probably a hundred more things I could reduce in my life but the one I deliberated the longest was to stop writing this daily blog or at least publishing it.  I'll continue Mets Mondays and maybe throw in an occasional "Rob" story, but thinking ahead to writing 7329 more blogs finally put me over the edge and sealed the deal to end this saga.

A new baby and a wedding to plan might have had something to do with it but it is time for me to move on, get away from this computer and completely engage in this thing called life.  I'll continue to write every day because the written word is comforting to me but broadcasting daily on the internet will be a thing of the past.

To my faithful readers, thank you for hanging in there, "liking" a few of my posts and sharing when I put out the plea for more money.  I'll be back once a week but it's time for all of us to take a breather from my nagging and educating and soliciting. You definitely "get it" when it comes to cancer and the forgotten metsters.

447--not quite 7777 but 447 more than when I started fifteen months ago.

Now go make this day matter.

Of course I have to put out one more shout to raise funds--go to www.onewomanmanylakes.org and make cancer say it has had enough and won't be back.

We will continue to update my swims on my website and also on my Facebook page, One Woman Many Lakes, so you haven't heard the last of me yet.

Thanks for reading and caring for #447 blogs.  You are all the best!

  3. Mary, each day you wrote made a difference for at least one person...actually more than that, so exponentially way more than 7777. Thanks for taking the time to spread the word. You and the other Metsters have forever changed how my colleagues and I look at this whole picture. Sharing your thoughts, facts and experiences are tangibles we can share with others! Rock On
