#298 Friday Coffee

“As long as there was coffee in the world, how bad could things be?”
 Cassandra ClareCity of Ashes

It's Friday!  What is it about this day that makes people smile or at least frown less?  I love Fridays because it means coffee at the Firefly Coffee Shop--best place in town if you want to combine a "cup of joe" with laughter and nonstop talking with a bit of gossip thrown in.

A multitude of friends gather at the "Fly" around a table that normally seats four as we defy the space and manage to squeeze in as many as ten.  It is a sight to behold as the world's problems-- large or small, local or not--are discussed and analyzed with a variety of solutions suggested and critiqued.  We are a powerful group of women who should be running the country if not the entire world.  Don't mess with us--especially on coffee days.

It never fails. I leave the coffee shop smiling at some outrageous comment that leaves me chuckling the entire day.  Is it the coffee or the conversation that does it?  With apologies to Scarlett Ohara--"As God is my witness"--I will cherish my Friday morning coffee dates forever!

Thanks for reading # 298 of 7777.
